Comenius is part of the Lifelong Learning Programme set up by the European Union, realized in primary and secondary schools. Its objectives are:
- To develop the knowedge and understanding of the diversity of European cultures , languages and values.
- Help young people acquire basic competences aimed at personal development , future employment and active citizenship (encouraging language learning , innovative ICT-based content and services).
